This saddle was ordered custom but never used. Since then, the saddle has been stored in a temperature-controlled environment and shows no signs of wear. There are a few tiny marks on the left rear panel (see photos). The calfskin leather is jet black with stylish chestnut welting. This particular saddle features a short (15.75") flap, point billet and Y-billet. Sold with fleece-lined Advanced Saddle Fit cover.
The Detente line of saddles is designed by Advanced Saddle Fit and handcrafted by master saddlemakers in Walsall, England. The Detente Isis is built on a tree that accommodates a lighter-bodied Sporthorse type, including many Thoroughbreds. The seat is moderately deep, broad, and comfortable, with a very supportive, shaped block. The panels have a large bearing area, providing excellent support between the tree and the horse where it is most needed for the lighter-boned, higher-withered, horse.
