BAINES 17.5" MW EVOLUTION CLOSE CONTACT JUMPING SADDLE 0525
* ON TRIAL * This Banes Evolution Close Contact Jumping saddle (serial# 12672) features a combination of gorgeous brown reverse doe skin and covered calf leather. The seat is 17.5" and the flaps measure 13.75" long from the bottom of the stirrup bar and 26.75" forward. The combination of a flatter, open seat with forward flap and a small thigh block makes this more of a classic close contact jumping saddle. The panels of this saddle are foam. The gullet channel measures 4.5" in the front, 2.5" in the middle and 2" in the rear. The tree is marked as a medium wide, measuring approximately 10.5" at the bottom of the tree points. It would fit a medium/medium wide, A shaped wither horse without hollowing behind the shoulders and has a somewhat downhill build. This saddle was purchased new about 1.5 years ago and has only been ridden is a handful of times! Current retail of this saddle is $3,200+!!
From Frank Baines Saddlery: A beautifully fashioned Jumping Saddle made with a calf skin covered flap and skirt. The knee pad is moulded around the knee block to give instant shape and support to the rider’s leg. A narrow waisted, wide seated tree, enables the rider to maintain perfect balance and control of the horse throughout. The shape of the tree suits a horse that has a flatter back and thus has a more complimentary open seat for the rider, allowing you to move position within the seat. A wide bearing surface in the wool flocked panel allows for even weight distribution and a generous gullet minimises pressure on the horse’s spine.
